Anyone who wants to sell plugins, themes or design assets directly from their own WordPress site almost automatically ends up at WooCommerce. That is a strong platform for shipping goods — but seriously oversized for a portfolio of digital products: shipping zones, stock management, product types for physical goods, and an admin area half of which you never touch. For our own shop we therefore built something leaner. Vendokit is a standalone commerce plugin for digital products — and the shop where you get Diviskit already runs on it.
What Vendokit does
Vendokit covers the complete purchase flow without needing a second plugin:
- Products & variations — digital products and bundles with variations (e.g. single site or multi-seat), SKUs and their own product type instead of postmeta tinkering
- Cart & checkout — slide-in cart, checkout with billing address and terms checkbox
- Payments — prepayment/invoice built in, Stripe for credit card, Apple Pay and Klarna; further gateways can be plugged in
- Orders & customers — status workflow from payment received to refund, customers linked to WP users
- Licenses & downloads — license key automatically issued on purchase, with activation limits and support duration
- Support tickets — customers submit requests right in their account, you answer them in the same admin
The shop from the customer's view
In the frontend, buyers get a product grid with filters by category, brand and price, a cart that slides in instead of redirecting, and a checkout without detours. In the customer account, orders, downloads, license keys and support tickets live in one place — no separate login, no external portal.

The admin area
The dashboard shows revenue (30 days and total), open orders, customer count and active licenses at a glance — including a revenue chart of the last 14 days. Orders can be filtered by status and searched; products and customers are each one list away. A test mode marks trial orders so you can test the entire flow without mixing it into live data.

Licenses are not an add-on, but the core
The point where most lean shop solutions stop: software licenses. Vendokit automatically generates a key per purchase, knows activation limits (one site, three sites, unlimited) and a support duration — and provides a License API that your sold plugin calls directly on the customer's site: activate, deactivate, check status, query the current version, deliver the download. For the plugin side there is a ready-made client SDK that you embed in your own product.
Who Vendokit is for
For developers and small agencies selling digital products — plugins, themes, assets — who don't need a full-assortment system for it. If you want physical goods, shipping logic or dozens of payment providers, WooCommerce serves you better. If you're looking for a shop that treats licenses and downloads as the normal case rather than the exception, this is the place.
Status
Vendokit is in active development (currently v0.7.1) and already powers the entire shop here on diviskit.com — orders, license issuing and support included. What we wouldn't use daily ourselves, we don't sell.
More details and the planned packages are on the Vendokit product page.
